Ce tome 34, intitulé "Water Seven, la cité sur l'eau", est divisé en 3 temps :- dans un 1er temps, nous assistons à la fin et à l'épilogue du Davy Back Fight (rien à ne redire, j'ai déjà tout dit dans la critique du tome précédent)- dans un 2e temps, nous découvrons l'Amiral Aojiki… J'ai rarement vu un mangaka fait du foreshadowing aussi forcé et téléphoné : « regardez mon nouveau personnage trop cool, trop fun, trop badass… regardez-le bien, parce que vous le reverrez pas avant XX tomes ! »… Donc on a un antagoniste overcheaté qui vient dire bonjour à Nico Robin et avertir la team Luffy de s'en méfier… What The Fuck ! Elle est recherchée car jugée excessivement dangereuse par l'amirauté, alors arrête-là au lieu de pérorer et de te la péter… et puis les 3 amiraux, Aka Inu / Chien Rouge, Aokiji / Faisan Bleu, Kizaru / Singe Jaune, c'est une énième récupération de la légende de Momotarô…- dans un 3e temps, après le train aquatique nous découvrons la cité de Water Seven, relookage de Venise à la sauce Eiichiro Oda donc baroque et bariolée, avec ses artisans artistes martiaux cool, fun, badass qui dirigent la cité sous la houlette du maire Iceburg…A la fin du tome, cliffhanger qui va obliger la team Luffy a prendre une décision concernant le Merry Vogue ! (sans parler de Nico Robin qui a disparu, Aojiki l'avait annoncé, mais j'imagine qu'on en reparlera dans les tomes suivants)
